ETHICALLY SOURCED NETWORK LAUNCH A CAMPAIGN AT LONDON.WS TO SUPPORT FARESHARE AND LONDON FOOD BANKS
The Ethically Sourced Network (ESN), allows ethically and sustainably certified SME food suppliers to effectively play on the same field with large conglomerates by creating a cost effective way to access a more secure, efficient and transparent supply chain with blockchain and product provenance.
ESN is a Blockchain Facilitated B2B platform that streamlines product discovery, transparency, traceablility and certifiably sustainable sourcing between ethical suppliers and responsible buyers. The ESN Blockchain connects ethical and sustainable suppliers to buyers with specific provenance tools to make it a highly dynamic demand-supply network and allowing each player in the chain to easily communicate.
London.WS is a London WebSite owned and operated by ESN, where consumers can access Ethically Sourced products. A campaign is underway at London.WS that will feature the products of retailers who support London Food Banks. To launch this campaign, the ESN Blockchain has been used to facilitate the purchase of Olive Oil from an ESN Supplier that has been donated to FareShare For Onward Distribution to London Food banks.
“At this time of huge uncertainty, we all need to pull together to help those most vulnerable and most affected by the issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The campaign being launched at London.WS by the Ethically Sourced Network will help FareShare in its support of London Food Banks.”
– Jen Glyn, FareShare Media Manager
FareShare – the UK’s largest hunger fighting charity – supports 11,000 charities and community groups, including food banks, across the country.
Food banks have seen a significant drop in donations, but remain a lifeline for those who rely on the donations to feed their families. With the end of the Furlough Scheme in sight, demand is only set to grow as the number of people who are losing their jobs increase.
